If you like Custard/Kream, try the Pasticiotto, and the local speciality is the Caffé leccese (Espresso, ice cream, almond milk syrup) We had the full aperitivo (a drink a few small bites) and spent a few hours in the sun on the terrace.
My friends at Lecce said it was the best café in Lecce and it wasn't disappointed. The Pasticcioto was great. This place is a bit more expensive than other cafes, but it is because it has a great view and is in the middle of the city. I'd come back.
Double espresso, watered down, worst one I’ve had in Italy. Pastries, dry and way too sweet. The waiters gave us a feeling as to rush us out of there. I gave it a second star because the table and chair was stable (unlike most in italy). Caio.
Dinner. It's right past the theater. You can have a coffee with some typical candy, food with a table outside with a good view. They have quite many types of food and option. We ordered the Pasticciotto, panzarotto the typical food from here. They were all good. I suggested tasting the traditional cream instead of other tastes. The service was a little slow. So make sure you have time to order and enjoy your food and drinks. Very recommended.
Very good traditional Italian pastries and espresso directly at the main square. A beautiful place to eat and watch people pass. This is famous for its Pasticciato and Café Leccese. The servers are very nice. It is a must to stop while you are in town. Looks like everything's filled with Pistaccio cream. The same for Maritozzo.
