Re Mida - Lecce

This is a charming restaurant in the heart of the historic center of Lecce. The interior is intimate or you can take in the city street life by sitting at one of the outside tables. The owner Stephania makes you feel like you are dining at home sitting at her kitchen table enjoying the food the locals grew up with. Everything we had was excellent. This has become one of my local favorites. My only regret is that I had not found Re Mida until I had lived here for 5 months!

Re Mida is one of the best restaurants in Lecce. It serves unstinting portions of traditional local food. The food is very fresh of good quality. The wines are some of the best in the region. The service is friendly attentive. The restaurant itself is decorated in a fresh traditional style. The atmosphere is so welcoming that I want to keep on going back.... Truly a wonderful culinary experience the pittule, the polpette, the burrata, the cuceri e tria are all amazing. Highly recommended!

The place looks alright at first, but is to be avoided. The food was cold and old, the wine was rotten and the service incredibly slow. Avoid.

Local pucce, you can choose what to put inside, burrata, rucula, proscutto... very tasty

The service was slow and they really were not interested at all. The food was ordinary. Not much good to say. There are many better restaurants in Lecce, keep walking past this one.
