Initially, some reviews of this restaurant seem to be confusing with peppercorn. Peppercorn is at the bottom on the street level, with pepper grind above. Pfeffermuhle is not the kind of restaurant that would like to roam in ski boots I suspect. Eating pretty... Excellent. Service very pleasant, with beautiful Maitre d', but was terrible slow. Our meal lasted at least one hour longer than it should have, and the restaurant was not busy. Guess that kitchen is also cooking for peppercorns, which is usually full. Could be wrong, but otherwise slowness cannot explain. Didn't really distract from the meal, but was a point of conversation! This is an expensive restaurant. Wine list stupid expensive. Cheap wine could have seen us buy more!
I stopped here at my first night in Lech and had a ham, cheese, tar, which was rather a very thin crust pizza. It was excellent and the service was excellent. I thought a day later at noon was another experience. I think they might have had short staff so it was difficult to get quickly served and back out, even though I was at the bar. They had an extensive menu so much choice. You also keep warm there so you can not stay long when you are in your snowwear. I would definitely recommend it if you could catch it at the right time. There is also a bar outside, a sushi bar downstairs and a gourmet market in the same building.
Located in the Hotel Pfefferkorn right in the center of Lech, Pfeffermühle is an à la carte restaurant on toque-level with regional Austrian cuisine as well as international specialities. Food is amazing, wines are top, service is excellent.
A very cozy restaurant that again offers fantastic food and service. We enjoyed our visit and the excellent food offered here. If I ever visit lech again I will definately come to the restaruant again!!
