At The Harewood Arms - Leeds

This hotel was in a great location for us and we thought it very good value. We ate in the restaurant at night and was not disappointed, can recommend the pies. Our bedroom was large, comfortable and clean with a powerful shower

A really friendly standard of service with all local staff. Good home cooked food, bar full of locals and amazingly a ban on phones. Well done Harewood Arms. Very helpful lady who demonstrated the nearness of several Red Kites

After a long trek around Harewood House we were very much looking forward to a nice late lunch at the Harewood Arms Pub, and delighted to see picnic tables out back. So disappointed when we went in to learn that only cash payments are accepted and no nearby bank machines! (not that we were up to walking any further). I realize it is a historic pub, but they might as well tell you to bring your own chicken or pig for cooking. Took a bus back to Leeds and spent our new fangled 21st century plastic money there.

Not very welcoming when you can't use a credit card Cash Only !! and no use of mobile phones in the bar area Food average

We had pre booked our Xmas meal for 15 of us. The bar and restaurant is all in one and with lots of notices up about no use of mobile phones, lap tops or swearing! They also don’t take credit cards! Some of us had Camembert which didn’t have cheese in them! on just a bad of lettuce! Than came the mains those that had turkey had the best dinner. Whereas the Salmon was over cooked and dry! They Chicken, ham and leek pie was served when everyone had finished there main course! There was 2 choices for pudding Christmas pudding which was small but people did enjoy it! Or chocolate ice cream. They had one waiter who had to deal with all the serving and problems! Than someone in the walking group said they came here last year and it wasn’t much better! This place really needs to up its game in the food and beverage experience! I’m surprised it’s manages to make a living!
