Calverley Grill @ Oulton Hall - Leeds

The restaurant was cold. The steak my husband had was full of Gristle, although mine was nice. There is no great selection in the menu.

We sat at a nice table for the 6 of us with plenty of space and did not feel at all that is refreshing. The food was nice and the service was impeccable. The staff was so welcoming and friendly and Oliver was brilliant and made our culinary experience so much more pleasant.

Great place for a special occasion to visit Hense or stay 5/6 times a year. The food is amazingly followed with consistently great service from all employees. Always recommend this place and we will continue to come regularly.

Very enjoyed the dining room experience, only bug naked for me was at dinner cream tea they did not explain what to do, only brought the cream and jam and coffee did not explain that the scoone are coming soon only to be emigrated, so that went to look where they find a bit more communication from waitress had to ask a few, it was coming waiting age, totally opposed to the breakfast wait waiter was fabulous.

A totally different experience to our meal the previous evening. Poor seating with a view of the door and computer- that is a table that should never be used! Seated but not offered a wine list, had to go and request one after we had been seated for 10 minutes and still not offered one. Gristly and tough steak (not good enough for £60+ . Sides dishes not served but left on the bill. One small salad for two people, the same as that served per person with meals half the cost. Your Sommelier was excellent. The rest was very ordinary and the shame is we know the food and service and seating can be much better. It was on the Friday evening.
