Chicken Stop - Leeds

I was really craving chicken so I went here since its basis is chicken. I had reasonably high expectations. However, I was disappointed. The food was nothing special and the burger I ordered tasted like the smell of stale urine. I thought it might just be the type of gherkins on it, but once I’d taken them off, I could still taste it. It was sub-par. Not only that, but it took about an hour and a half to arrive, which I just accepted hoping the food would make up for it. We then got a call from the driver insisting my address could not be found. He then had the audacity to tell me we would ‘be charged extra’ for getting the address wrong. OUR OWN ADDRESS, he said we’d got it wrong because he couldn’t find it. It seemed I couldn’t convince him it actually existed. That was a first for sure! It seems to be a common issue however. I won’t be coming back here again.

Chicken shops aren’t known for their customer service but the service here is seriously lacklustre. I don’t know what they’re trying to do with the chicken but the wings are soggy and lacking in flavour. The chips are alright but all in all your paying relatively high prices for inadequate food. For a place that has ‘chicken’ in its name you would of thought they would have more pride. There’s definitely a space in LS6 for proper fried chicken.

We usually pop into here at the end of the night after midnight. It’s got a nice little, clean seating area where you can eat your food in comfort. Iv previously ordered chicken wings, fried chicken, fries. They are all nice and fresh. They also have various complimentary sauce bottles out (ketchup, chilli, garlic mayo, mint chutney etc. . Which is a nice touch. The donner tastes ok but I don’t think it’s fresh donner, as they don’t seem to have the donner machine. Must be the microwave stuff. Still, it’s not too bad. I would definitely recommend this shop.

Food ready on time collected the most unfresh chicken with NO CHIPS. So I called the restaurant and talked to a polite girl: Me: *explain the mistake* Phone: Sure come back and we'll give you chips Me: But that's a 20 min walk my chicken will be cold and it's already soggy Phone: We'll give you fresh chicken no problem I got to the restaurant and was greeted by the girl's father (the owner) who just kept giving me an unnerving smile while he gave me chips only, like a big F U to me. I would have never walked back there if they were just gonna give me chips... I was baited with decent customer service and greeted with smug superiority. Even the fresh chips are just batter sticks, I almost threw up after eating this.

My colleagues and I ordered from here last night 25/9. One of the meals was missed off the order. I called back to tell them and the woman argued with me and told me I’d not ordered it I had I was reading from a list and ticking off as I went through the manager came on and argued with me as well. They refused to bring the missed meal unless we paid a further delivery charge. After some discussion we agreed to pay £1 for the delivery however the order never turned up. We won’t be ordering from here again !!!!
