Ego At The Wellington, Shadwell - Leeds

We had a group of 21 on Saturday night and were incredibly impressed. The service was fantastic, with the staff efficiently managing to serve all of us at the same time. The food was outstanding; we enjoyed delicious garlic mushrooms, perfectly cooked steaks, and juicy pork belly. The decor was very nice, creating a comfortable atmosphere. This was our first visit, and it definitely won't be our last!

I've visited this restaurant a few times for meals and occasionally just for a quiet drink. It's a lovely place with cheerful staff who are always ready to assist. I had a rib-eye steak with mint sauce, and I was absolutely thrilled with it. The quality and flavor exceeded my expectations.

My partner and I arrived on a Monday evening without a reservation, expecting it to be quiet. We were surprised to find out that this place is quite popular, offering some excellent midweek deals and early bird specials. Despite being relatively busy, they seated us promptly, and the service was excellent. It had the cozy atmosphere of a pub while also providing the attentive service of a large restaurant. The staff really took care of the place. The food was absolutely delicious, and the wine selection was impressive. We will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely love the ego, always our go as family and individual, the personal goes beyond and beyond and could not compile the manager, my eating was forgotten by the ticket on my birthday and it was given on the house as well as apology drinks, we even have family drive from doncaster and continue to eat here and they are more than happy to travel for such a good pub experience. also the happy birthday dessert really tied it all together!

We've eaten here twice now and overall it has been a very enjoyable experience both times. The staff have been friendly, the food has been very good and the atmosphere even over a busy Bank Holiday weekend was relaxed. The only gripe was having to wait a while to be acknowledged by the young man at the front door, he seemed engrossed in whatever he was doing. Certainly wouldn't let that put me off returning.
