Grand Indian Lounge - Leeds

I visited this restaurant for the first time and was warmly welcomed by the staff. The food was excellent, delicious, and served hot. The staff were friendly and not pushy, unlike some other places in the area. Overall, I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning soon.

We were planning to book the restaurant for a family celebration with 32 guests, including one highchair and one wheelchair user. However, when we called on Sunday, July 9th at 5:25 pm, a staff member informed us that they did not have a ramp for the wheelchair user to access the restaurant. This lack of accommodation and the indifferent attitude of the staff member was disappointing and prevented us from booking the event. In all our years of dining out, we have never encountered such a situation – usually, staff are accommodating and provide a temporary ramp for wheelchair users. We felt let down by the staff's behavior and believe it goes against the principles of the Disabled Equality Act. On average, we spend £25-£30 per person, plus drinks, when we visit the restaurant. Our bill for the family celebration would have totaled around £950. We are surprised that the restaurant can afford to turn away customers, especially since our last two visits showed the restaurant nearly empty at 8 pm. We have decided to try a nearby restaurant that was recommended to us. Overall, we rate the curry at GIL as hit and miss.

I have given this Indian restaurant four chances now, but unfortunately, it has not improved at all. In fact, it seems to be getting worse. The food is awful and the curry lacks any sauce. The staff are okay, but ultimately it is the quality of the food that matters most, and it is not enough to make me want to return.

I’ve been to many Indian restaurants but non come close to this place the food and staff alike are fantastic, 5 star every time

Another great meal with friends at the Grand Indian. We are always made welcome here and the staff are very attentive. Would recommend this restaurant.
