We popped into the cafe for a cuppa, however, both my daughter and myself needed to loo, lady tried tonput us off by saying it was two floors up, well we were happy with that...my daughter nipped to the loo, and then we ordered a tea cake and a cuppa each...attitude of the lady was shocking, she came at us and said my daughter had left the tap on, which she definitely did not...she said the tap was leaking, well sorry but this is not our fault....she went on and until we decided to leave...not a pleasant experience at all....so avoid at all costs....needless to say i never went to the loo.....the teacakes were small and bland, and not worth the money....pot of tea was fine......
I have used the cafe for many years. The food is good but the real star is the kind lady owner. I have 3 children and she always makes a fuss of them, remembering what they like to eat. She brings out activities for them to do when waiting and always makes me feel I can stop and just chill for half an hour. Many thanks.
Lana and her family run a lovely little cafe serving full meals to snacks sandwiches toasties scones etc. She has a very extensive menu at very reasonable prices. My parents regularly drop in. Dad is registered blind and nothing is too much trouble. Lana is always very kind, cheerful and helpful and is very intuitive of a persons needs due to disability. I live 'down south ' but always try and pop in if I 'm in Wetherby. The food is yum!
This is an unassuming looking place near to the Market Square but what you see from the outside is definitely not what you get inside. The lady who runs it is fabulous. She cares so much about her customers having a good time and nothing is too much trouble for her. She has a great sense of humour and is very helpful to do with anything about the tone and gave us directions to the racecourse. The full breakfast is great value for money and very tasty indeed. It isn’t just standard stuff on the menu though. There are some Chinese dishes on there which looked delicious when they were brought out and would definitely be our choice on a return visit. The café itself is very cosy and seems to have a lot of loyal customers. No wonder – it is great!
