We came as a group of new mamas with babies and children. the personal was beautiful and very accommodating. eating is great and the venue is really nice. I would definitely recommend
The customer service was very slow, although it was not excessively busy, ordering tables that later than we arrived and made false bill available at the end. I had (pee) was strongly burned and portioned were small for the cost. wife and children were happy with the quality of their food. overall, cost, lack of good service let them this venue down, which could be great. will not be in a hurry to return
Chairs and tables floor and chairs very unpleasant. we had booked, but the table was not set up even though it was empty. we had to ask for menus after we had put ourselves a past, and it didn't seem to be many employees. there were mixed reviews of our party of 7 about eating. the 4, who had bark, said it was very hard, 1 the pig had enjoyed the whole meal while the others were very fat. the person who had cake said it was delicious. we asked for more force and were filled with the smallest crug and when we asked for more, it came when we were done. Summing up, 2 people enjoyed their food, 2 thought it was ok and 3 did not cost it at all. everyone thought the place was very basic and the service was bad. none would go back or recommend.
We had intended going to the Tetley for some time so we went to celebrate a birthday one Thursday lunchtime. The bar area was busy but we had booked a table in the restaurant which was very quiet. We had four different meals. Fish and Chips was pronounced as very good. A good size fish. The steak pie was only just ok. It had cauliflower in it which was a bit odd. The size was quite small, pastry good. It was a corner piece which may have affected the amount of meat. The burger was declared very good. Too many chips perhaps. Cut down on servings. I had the ploughmans. Served on a board it had scotch egg, a small pork pie, Blue cheese, tetleys chutney, silverskin onions and two thick slices of bread (some butter would have been good). The scotch egg which was served warm was the highlight, the best I have had. Drinks were served promptly and the Tetley Ale went down well. I will probably go back and I do recommend it. There is a small shop selling unusual items and some nice inexpensive jewelry.
