Marco Polo ital. Ristorante & Pizzeria

Lunch break on the way home from the Netherlands, I streamed through the pedestrian zone of emptiness with a wonderful sunshine. Since I had only got a coffee at the company visited, a feeling of hunger began. In a side street towards water I found this Italian restaurant, which was on several signs with “11 lunches for 7,50 € each”. I entered and was immediately greeted by a young waiter. “A table for a person?” I nodded, and he asked me to follow him. We crossed the whole restaurant and then came to a sun-filled conservatory where he gave me a table in the background, in the shade. The menu was immediately served and the selection was made quickly, I ordered from the lunch card “Rigatoni overbaked, with ham, cream, Bolognese and cheese” (7,50 € and a small Cola light (0,2l for 2,10 €). The drink was quickly brought by a younger service. In the first run it was a big cola, but it was exchanged for my intervention promptly and with excuses for a small glass. There was a basket with still warm bread and butter, pleasant and tasty. During the next waiting period, various other service forces appeared and supplied the three other occupied tables in the conservatory. After some time I was served a small plate with salad, which I had not expected. A small portion of different leaf salads, each with two slices of cucumber and tomato, with a light vinegar oil dressing, was quite refreshing at the comparatively high outside temperatures that are not at all suitable for the season. After the salad there was a small break again, then another operation brought the run-up mould with the noodles, in which the oil between the noodles was still slightly broiled. I started eating cautiously, the noodle mass was really very hot. As expected, the tube noodles were cooked al dente, the mass of Bolognesesauce, ham and cream tasted well, and the cheese pulled long strings – Mozzarella just on winding up. All in all a flawless lunch table, and that for under ten euros including drink, you really can't complain.

We have eaten with our grandchild on 18.10.18, it was my birthday and wanted to eat stylishly. the service was a catastrophe, barely speaking German, and eating was a gnad. the gruß aus der Kitchen-Bruscetta was the only thing that was o.k.war my noodle dish, was more than catastrophic, the zuccini were completely dirty, because the noodles were more than crunchy. the restaurant we cannot recommend at all

The locally acts from the outside as well as from the inside very beautiful and inviting. the condition was also friendly. the ,bruchetta' as a greeting of the kitchen, but was not very satisfying as the baguette was very dry and as tasted from the day before. because the menu is very well opened, we ordered spaghetti napoli and tortellini gorgonzola. it was served very usual. but the spaghetti were still a little tight and the tortellini were far too little. we also ordered mozzarella to knock, these were hardly spiced and the mozzarella unfortunately had a consistency like pudding and also tasted not very appetit. there were broths that did not appear very fresh. Beyond that we sat in a beautiful winter garden, which had much too many tables for so little space, so it felt easy to engage there. Unfortunately, this is not completely satisfactory because it does not hold what it promises.

We visited the restaurant marco polo and I am very disappointed. we were a bigger group, 10 people. 1. we had ordered a table, had a place in the winter garden much too narrow it was. too many tables on too small space. 2. . then I wanted a pizza with aubergine, that was not possible, although all the ingredients were there. so what I have never experienced 3. totally unfriendly service when our orders missed an eating. because it just didn't come, we started eating. at 3 demand they then said that they had no more space in the other operation then said 2 min later eating equal, it would be burned. good can happen, but then lying is no longer beautiful. as apology, there was nothing that would have offered to the waiting hospitable espresso or the like. 4. We were only asked for drinks all night and they came after the appetizer. eating was okay my pizza was also quite burned, but still good tasteless. but had really enjoyed the pizza aubergine. naja. the service was simply unfriendly. hos is the king here is missing in the square. it was not taken into account that they feel comfortable. the loudness is already very loud. this resturante has seen me for the first and last time, a scandal!

I gave the marco polo a second chance today, while shortly after the opening in the full house it was quite a chaos, today everything was fit. table reservation (on the terrace, they do not make everywhere) has worked perfectly, operation was friendly and well organized, eating (pizza with sardelle and thunfischpizza) has tasted well. before bruschetta as greeting the kitchen was very good!. the espresso was large, preheated cup and as a gimmick a mini portion haselusseis in miniwaffel. I am delighted that I was able to write a good review today and hope that the quality of the kitchen and service will remain in the full house. as the only recommendation for the service: please ask if the glasses are empty, whether drinks are still desired. a lot of success! we are happy to come back!
