I love the variety of food options at this restaurant! The staff is very friendly and there is plenty of parking available in the back. The food is delicious too!
Good food. Casual dining. Native Filipino ambience. Quiet place which I love! You can just enjoy food and good company. Wait staff are polite too! We ordered Laing, Cocido, Pancit Bihon, Tuna Belly in lemon butter sauce. Rice is white and fluffy!
Absolutely loved it. The food was perfect and I certainly can't say that lightly we had bulalu, their special sinigang, ginataang isda (coconut milk cooked fish), fried chicken, crispy pata..., and it was all spot on. The service was good and attentive, and the atmosphere was adorable really bringing in some Bicol historical vibes with a classy twist. I will look forward to coming back anytime I'm in Legazpi.
Overated restaurant! Very poor service, not so great menu and yes, don’t expect for great food. If you are looking for quality Filipino food and service you might want to skip this restaurant, for the price you might just want to consider Kuya Js or Max’s or other restaurants nearby. My friends decided to have our almost annual catch up and as this restaurant is somewhat highly rated we all decided to try last December. I anticipated that due to the Christmas season, the restaurant might be full and so I decided to call and had our reservation for ten persons at 7pm. (Called in the morning around 11am) Good thing their contact number was very responsive and in less that few minutes, we had our reservations. When we arrived, there were quite a few guests and a party on the upper deck, but the house was not full. We went to see the attendants and mentioned that we had and our reservations and we were ushered to a nicely decorated long table. If there is one good thing about this restaurant, it will only be the interior design and the theme (thanks to their designer). I was expecting lots of options, keeping in mind the restaurant is called Koron and I had fun memories in Coron, Palawan. So I was a bit surprised to see an almost basic-typical menu. But since my friends are already informed that we will meet there, it will be too hassle to change restaurant and also the fact that we had our reservation. So, we ordered what we thought nice and hoped that they would have an extra ordinary fried chicken, kare-kare and sinigang (yeah those are types can order, don’t expect fancy stuff here-so much with Max’s). Orders were taken and we thought with the usual menu were ordered, timing would be perfect as we were still waiting for some friends to arrive and catch up with our lives. After 20-25ish minutes, we followed up and the waitress told us that the food is still being prepared, fair enough. After 40 minutes, second follow-up was made and they said, they needed 10-15 more minutes, I had to go to the cashiers areas and asked why it was taking too long and the poor lady said that they had to prioritise the party at the upper floor. I looked up and calmed down, maybe they are just overwhelmed. After more than an hour, we’re all really hungry and so I went back to them and literally stood next to the kitchen and said if our order will not be served in the few minutes might as well we cancel our order. Then they said, it was being prepared already then reminded them again that we will cancel our orders if our food will not be served as we waited for almost 1.5 hour already. Then food were served one by one (hallelujah). By the looks of the food, you can already tell the taste, not even hunger would make you appreciate the flavor. After meal, as some of my friends have family and kids already and it was getting late, we immediately asked for the bill and paid. I decided to use the toilet before going out, but the toilet pretty much summed up the restaurant. I will never come back to this restaurant ever again!
