Tsunami Restaurant Sushi Bar Traverse Mountain

Tsunami is our favorite restaurant! The menu is exciting, and everything we've tried has been delicious. Their consistency in delivery is impressive. We particularly love the Jenny roll, Fire Breathing Dragon, Skewer Trio, gyoza, and sunshine roll.

In our last two visits, both the service and the food have been disappointing. We decided to give it another try last night, and unfortunately, it was the same as before. The four of us ordered dinner plates along with some sushi, but everything that arrived at our table—chicken, rice, vegetables—was cold. Additionally, our drinks, which included water and soda, were never refilled during the 90 minutes we spent there. We used to enjoy dining here, but our recent experiences have not lived up to our expectations.

This was our first visit to Tsunami. As residents of Seattle, I was initially hesitant about eating seafood in the desert, but it turned out to be incredibly delicious and fresh! We would definitely return over and over again! Our server, Graham, was exceptional; he took the time to describe all the various specials and the main menu, both of which offered a great variety. Everything was fantastic and served quickly!

Jonathan was the best. Gave me great recommendations for food and it was amazing.

Service was amazing. Thank you for that. Quite honestly though, this place feels Californicated; it's not authentic Japanese food in the least. Many of the rolls have so many ingredients to them, the protein isn't the star of the show and all the competing flavors makes me wonder what exactly is the chef trying to accomplish here?
