Chennai Dosa Leicester

It's surprising that this restaurant is cash only in 2022, as it seems a bit outdated. The food is decent and reasonably priced, and the staff is friendly with no issues. It's never too crowded, but parking can be a challenge as there is no space outside and customers must park on side streets. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience.

My first experience at this restaurant was not great, the food tasted unpleasant. However, on my second visit, my wife wanted to give it another try. We went around noon on a weekday and were disappointed. Chennai Dosa in East London was my first experience with fantastic South Indian cuisine over a decade ago and I have frequented it many times since. Unfortunately, the Leicester location needs significant improvements. The previous location on Melon Road was better in terms of quality and price. The portion sizes for takeout were small and the service was lacking. Overall, there is room for improvement in terms of food quality, service, and cleanliness.

On the belgrave road is the next parking lot in the golden mile park on the macdonald road. chennai dosa offers an excellent spread of authentic South Indian cuisine. the staff is friendly and service fast. the ambiente could be better. the food was excellent. overall it was a great culinary experience.

We ordered a large filter coffee and tried the dosas (we had a regular dosa and a wobble rava masala dosa) as well as uttapam. The idli was not as fluffy and soft as we had hoped. The curries, especially the sweet and sour ones, were a bit too sharp with too much pepper for my liking. However, the dosas and idli with the accompanying chutneys were quite good. The service was quick and friendly. The ambiance was basic and functional. Overall, there are better South Indian restaurants in the area.

Price is ok .Dosa items are good . Biryani was not so great.Lime juice was horrible. Service is not that great has to wait for ever for the food. No card payment accepted.Not wheelchair access. There are better restaurants on the same street
