(Choosing to pay £16 to get you by taxi) Usually we would not have any complaints about the food. My partner ordered the Lamb Shank and for the price of £20 we had the impression that the price-performance ratio did not meet the usual standards of Grange Farm. He had to attack for vegetables because there was hardly anything served with the dish. I went with a traditional gammon and eggs, and I also felt underwhelmed by him (even if it was at least £8 less), as we often had in Greene King Pubs and had better. Needless to say, our waitress Jess was brilliant, bar staff were as attentive as they are usually and how the alcohol flows, the disappointing food does not ruin our night. Perhaps the chef could revise the offer of both dishes!
I'll take an older friend on the Grange once a month. She goes with a walker and finds access to the restaurant very well. Usually we have a table for two on the ground floor near the disabled toilet, but due to new renovations this was not possible. Your staff apologised and showed us a nice table down in the room. We enjoyed our meals very much (Hunters Chicken, followed by Eton Mess and Coffee). Your staff is excellent and we look forward to our next visit.
Very nice food, but difficult if you are a Fussy eater. Rather expensive for a casual meal, and some of the food was not very hot. Slow delivery to the table especially for a Saturday night. The waitress was helpful and the attitude was very nice.
Excellent dinner on Sunday, especially wonderful Yorkshire puddings.
For a full review see Trip Advisor. I'm not going to write it all out again but needless to say my Sunday Lunch experience was not great and we won't be going back anytime soon.
