Feedback gevenHaving been a repeat customer for years I was gobsmacked by the outcome of my delivery. Now I 'm an old fashioned regimented man, I 'm at bed by 8pm and up at 5am ready for work. Today after a long day I felt exhausted and had a craving for something sweat and sour. Having ordered my meal I was told by the server over the phone my meal 'would be there within the hour '. Many minutes after that hour had passed I had given up and dialed up to cancel my order. I was greeted by the magic words 'number busy ', so I waited a moment and dialed again... Same automated response. Funnily enough just then the driver arrived. I commented 'I 've been waiting over an hour and was going to cancel mate- '. The delivery driver cut me off saying 'It was the traffic '. Fine, I sympathize with his plight. He proceeded to raise his voice 'I 'm the owner, I agree I was late. Our food is hot look you touch ' to this he rapidly tapped the bottom of the bag of food. Seeing this wasn 't going anywhere I touched it and agreed that the barely luke warm bag was 'hot '. He got in my face and began shouting that 'I remember you, you said it was late before. Everytime you order again I 'll personally deny you '. I 've never had a late delivery from them before so I have no clue what he 's talking about. He turned back and shouted 'It 's up to you have it or not, this meal is still hot ' I told him 'hey calm yourself down ' at this point I just wanted him to leave before he upset a neighbour. Paid him and he repeatedly said 'Sorry, sorry ' and sped off. Word to the wise, steer clear from this ticking timebomb. In my opinion Far East over the road is the best chinese takeaway for miles.
Terrible after being a family favourites for years we now use Far East across the road cheaper better food unfortunately don’t open on a Tuesday so thought we would give Ruby’s the go ahead again to be left with s*it food and a childs portion and then being rudely spoken to after questioning what has happened to a once respectful Chinese
Have been Vegetarian over 30 years, Ordered an meal to include Veg Chow mein. When i got home I found I had a beef one. Rang to complain, was told I defiantly ordered beef and it wouldn't kill me ! Took the whole meal back and after a heated conversation got my money back. Very Very Poor Service
Terrible service ordered £18.90 worth of food collection asked for prawn crackers and they tried to charge me as I didn’t order over the allotted £20 for free prawn crackers! Joke! Food was cold and very bland sweet and sour chicken was very poor with no flavour and huge chunks of onion no pineapple or pepper. Definitely won’t be going back.
I thought i 'd try ruby as they were voted #1 in my area, which I assume is paid sponsorship as it 's the worst experience I 've had with a Chinese in my life. It took them 2 hours to deliver despite being told multiple times by their rude staff that 'it was on the way ' and wouldn 't be long. I did explain I was up at 5am, and would have simply cancelled if they had been honest about the delivery time. When the food finally arrived it was luke warm and below par. Soggy chips, tasteless rice and chicken that was rubbery and strange tasting. To top it off the delivery guy, who was obviously stressed out, became extremely aggressive and argumentative on my door step causing me to eventually slam the door in his face. Terrible food, terrible service, terrible staff. Avoid like the plague!
