The cuisine was outstanding - fresh, tasty, and perfectly balanced. Those looking for a bit of heat will appreciate their fiery, spicy dishes. With its incredible variety, this restaurant truly is a masterpiece. I would give it a perfect score of 10/10.
On my final night in Leicester, I wanted a change from curry and decided to try Sri Lankan food for the first time. It was a mini adventure for me. The vegetable rolls were delicious, like giant potato croquettes with seasoned vegetables and a dipping sauce. I also tried Idli for the first time, which was interesting but not sure if I would have it again. The vegetable roti and Kothu were very tasty. For my main dish, I had dhal, okra curry, and rice, which was really lovely, though I couldn't finish it all. I would definitely go back and highly recommend it. The staff were friendly and it seemed like a family-oriented place.
Came across this little place after a failed attempt to get in to another place nearby. The food was fresh, delicious and well balanced in flavours. Makes a change to the other restaurants in the area. Highly recommended not to be put off by the simple decor of the fabulous little gem.
The sauces in this restaurant have delightful flavors, however, there is room for improvement in their treatment of the main protein ingredients. While the devilled chicken was tasty, it was unfortunately overcooked and dry. The fish curry sauce was excellent, but the promised fresh fish was not delivered, resulting in a frozen fish texture. With the introduction of fresh ingredients, this place could show great potential.
