Zigarre - Leipzig

I landed in this pedestrian zone as so many do on a summer's evening and chose Zigarre because there was a free table. I had hardly taken my place and the waiter arrived as did the menu. The beer I ordered arrived promptly as well. I chose a salad with hot goat's cheese as a light supper and this too, arrived in no time at all. No complaints about the service here. The salad tasted ok and considering where the cafe is located, I cannot complain about the value for money. However, because space is at a premium, be prepared to share the personal space of your neighbouring tables! They are that close together.

Looking for something to eat and drink, we found this small restaurant and bar. Quite rustic and plain but a really nice feeling to the place. Upstairs we found a table next to the window which you can look out over the streets. Food was tasty and there was a choice of really interesting dishes like grilled halloumi cheese with rocket or a wonderful grilled goats cheese salad.

Everything very successful! We're back in the next leg.

We were lucky and spontaneously got a table in the late evening to complete the evening with cocktails. The selection of cocktails was enough, the prices were good. The service was great.

Nice place where you can sit wonderfully in summer. The food is top and the staff is friendly. Besides, as the name says, there are cigars. For smokers a pleasant place!
