The whitefish had an incredibly pungent flavor, which is questionable considering it’s from Fishtown. The wings were dry and overcooked. The Brussels spouts were fried beyond anything we’ve ever eaten. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Very beautiful setting and a calm spot to eat in a casual atmosphere. We loved our experience here and we will be back again. It was a stark contrast to the hustle of the more touristy locations in the area. Thanks for a great experience. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu pleased our very picky eater. I was there last Saturday, and I was advised every table was waiting over an hour for food, including simple sandwiches, owing to issues in the kitchen. Our server (Sutton? was wonderful and accommodating. It took about 20+ minutes for our appetizer to arrive, which was calamari, overcooked to a dark brown imperfection. We waited an hour or more for the rest of our food. I could see other patrons getting irritable and/or drunk. After a day on the links, I 'm sure libations were the first consideration, since there 's a sandwich in every beer. I fault management, or lack thereof, for a kitchen unable to turn over orders, especially appetizers. If it had been my restaurant, I would have been comping 20% off every bill for the egregious wait, but the servers were on their own to manage damage control for a kitchen in utter chaos. I worked many years in the service industry and this place is unforgiveable.
Really nice place run by great people. good food drinks plus it is close to everything fun to do.
