Kahvila Siiri - Lempaeaelae

I frequent many cafes in Finland, in many cities, during my travels, but this gem in my hometown I love the most. I did not expect to fall in love, but the place, the people and the food simply won me over. The chief baker does sweet and savoury vegan baked goods, so mostly they are available – defrosted, but the quality is still great. Sometimes the baker sends me a message when something vegan is straight out of the oven.

A beautiful cafe at the lakeside in Lempäälä. The interior is like a home from the beginning of the 20th century. You can have coffee tea other beverages with sweet bread or salty pies. A nice taste of home baked delicasies. Whatever you take will be nice, but remember to taste also the cinnamon rolls. Also salads or soup can be purchased.

A family member took me to this cafe saying it was the best one in the area and she certainly was not fibbing! Everything from the cozy atmosphere to the lunch and pastries made right there on location was wonderful. On the day we went the lunch was a vegetable soup and homemade, still warm bread, with your chosen decadently delicious pastry and a cup of coffee/tea for dessert. I had a giant cinnamon bun (that the cafe is known for in the area) and enjoyed every last morsel. The location is also noteworthy: the repurposed villa sits right next to a lake, and closeby is a 100 year old spa that offers natural treatments and remedies. Definitely worth a visit!

The beautiful old house and its interior is an absolute must if you are visiting the area. All the small rooms are so beautiful with loads of interesting details. There are lots of sweet pastries to choose from. I had a large cinnamon bun which tasted out of this world. However, the cup of green tea was just average or even below average I am afraid to say. Still, I am determined to go there again. The place is so lovely and the homemade pastries and cakes are so delicious not to mention the great view over the lake.

Beautiful house on the lake side. Epic, large Finnish cinnamon rolls. Free refill for coffee. An absolute must-visit cafeteria in Lempäälä.
