Bavarois Cafe Confeitaria - Lençóis

The burger was a reasonable size but the bread was soaking wet and it was very messy to eat. Served on a wooden board on top of a soggy layer of paper. Had to ask for a fork from the waiter in order to eat...it. This was not a good start but the major problem was with the french fries. My son discovered an insect at the bottom of the box of fries and it took a couple of attempts to make it visible. I showed the insect in the fries to the waiter and asked her to take the food away. When I went to pay for the burgers, I noticed the price of the fries was still on the bill and asked for it to be removed. The owner/manager blankly refused, denying that there had been any insect in the fries and also asked why we had consumed almost half of the fries before bringing the problem to the waiter's attention. We explained that the insect was at the bottom of the box and it was only noticed when my son had removed some fries from the top. We got no apology from the rude manager/owner and only after a considerable delay did she remove the cost of the fries from the bill as I insisted I was not paying for the spoiled food. I have never experienced such appalling treatment at a restaurant in Brazil. Take your business to another restaurant that values its customers.

Cozy, nice atmosphere with delicious desserts!! The coffee is great, from local producers! End of afternoon stop! Service was very good!

Nice place has good espresso, but i somehow failed to get a double machiato. The had a single on the menu, but ordering as a double got me a capucino. Ill chalk that to my bad portuguese. The desert was a white chocolate ball with...white and dark chocolate fudge on the inside. It was nice and luckily small otherwise would be a sugar bomb. I saw others eating the burgers and they looked quite good. But cant speak to their taste i only came in for coffee and dessert

Really great burgers and great staff! Had the blue cheese and beef burger. Amazing. I think price was R$20

I showed the insect in the Pommes to the waiter and asked her to take the food away. When I paid for the burgers, I noticed that the price of the Pommes was still on the bill and asked to remove it. The owner/manager leaned empty, denied that there was any insect in the fries and also asked why we had consumed almost half of the fries before we brought the problem to the attention of the waiter. We explained that the insect was at the bottom of the box and it was only noticed when my son had some frits away from above. We didn't get an apology from the rude manager/owner and only after a considerable delay they removed the cost of the frits from the bill when I insisted that I didn't pay for the spoiled food. I have never experienced such a terrible treatment in a restaurant in Brazil. Take your business to another restaurant that pays its customers.
