Fatz Cafe - Lenoir

I ordered a Double Mac Daddy Burger and my wife ordered the Calabash chicken tenders. I got the wrong burger, receiving a regular double cheeseburger. My fries were hot but my wife's fries were room temp so I gave her mine. I also ordered a side of grits but they were so salty that they were inedible. Gave it two stars because the burger was okay, even though it was wrong. Our table was so sticky that my phone literally stuck to it. This place used to be great but ever since Covid hit, they never seemed to recover.

The restaurant was nice and clean. No one was at the front to seat us or welcome us. Waited over 5 minutes to be greeted. Then was seated. Waited a bit. Waitress was very nice just spread to thin. Got drinks and bread. Then the wait began..... food was not that great. Fries where warm at best. Smallest sweet potato I have ever had. Lunch there took over 2hrs. We have never been to a Fatz, was really looking forward to trying them. Food was not that good and the time it took was crazy. Only half the tables where taken.....

Recent changes have made a significant difference. We've always enjoyed Fatz, although our experiences haven't always been perfect. However, on our latest visit, we had fantastic food and excellent service! The manager, Heidi, was incredibly personable and took the time to check on us, even while handling a busy environment. We will definitely be returning!

First of all, we had the best waiter we have ever had. His name is Brian. He is very friendly, kind and really cares about pleasing his customers. The food is great, I especially love the green beans and my husband loves the fish. We have always got seated right away also.

The dinge have changed lately definitiw, we have always loved fatz, but not always a great experience. went and had great eating and good service! the manager, heidi was super personabel and still had time to stop and check at us while busy all the time. we will definitely come back.
