I called the restaurant to ask about the missing rice, and the girl explained that I needed to request it specifically, otherwise I would only receive noodles. Typically, noodles are served over a bed of rice with vegetables on top. It seems like the restaurant is cutting corners and not providing the full meal to customers. Unfortunately, I also left them a tip. It looks like that will be the last tip I give them. Overall rating for food: 2 out of 5.
I worked at Luau Hale nearly 40 years ago, and the food is still as amazing as I remember. During my visit to the Berkshires from August 1st to the 3rd, I had a fantastic time. I ordered a takeout dinner, which cost between $50 and $100 per person. The food and service were both top-notch, receiving a rating of 5 for each. I highly recommend trying the Fried Rice - it was delicious.
I wish I could dine in again. The service was for takeout, and the meal was for dinner. The price per person was $50 to $100. The food and service both received a rating of 4. I recommend trying the Won Ton Soup and the Fried Rice.

Came home to visit after a year of being away, looked forward to luau hale was so disappointed. Their pork fried rice was extremely dark, as if it had been reheated multiple times, rarely had any pork in it the pieces that were in it were extremely fatty. It's a shame, but it's time to close their doors.
