Although not really beautiful by today's standards, these dining rooms are worth seeing and offer a pretty nice atmosphere. the permanent menu was also rich in tradition, as it included almost only classics of Austrian cuisine and thus covered meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. it was supplemented by two set of the day, written on a chalkboard at the entrance. since I chose one of them, roasted leber, it was served as expected after only a moderate waiting period. the leber had been prepared with small bacon bits that gave a special taste, and tasted fine. the chef deserved praise for the gravitation that was not fat and had not been transformed by adding too much flour into straw. also the ordinary size of the part, the price (less than ten euro) was fair. service was friendly and for the greatest part also fast.
Had a big party from the conference, service was good, eating was traditional I think lack of variety, like the cranberry sauce for carvings and hoping for better strudel
We ordered a mourning board for two people. Although we were very hungry, we couldn't stop it. also they have a pretty good choice of beer. but the witness could be more pleasant (they looked sad).
I had the Pork Schnitzel dinner which was very tasty and I highly recommend accompanied with the locally brewed Gosser beer. The restaurant also features a large non smoking section.
