We both chose Magret de Canard one with herbs, peppered sauce and gratin potatoes the other nature and with chips. Both were accompanied by a green salad. Quite tasty although the duck could have been cooked a little more. The price was quite acceptable and the service very good. Would go back again.
Eat at home. Never have I had a greater displeasure of eating at a restaurant. The waitress spent more time making attempts at banter than actually doing her job. She kept on making cutting, known-it-all-comments. It's as thought she purposefully tried to sabotage our meal. Then there's the food. Our steaks were primarily gristly road kill – I don't think there was actually any steak in there. One was so undercooked it was still grazing the field. And they got the side orders wrong. It's only the humour, as a result of the disbelief at this terrible meal out, that remotely makes up for the €30 down the drain. Literally eat at home or anywhere else in town. What a dump!
Would recommend this restaurant for authentic meal and good atmosphere. The staff were very friendly . We had raclette which was 22 euros each for a decent portion . The wine was also great and relatively cheap .
We went there for dinner and had the all you can eat raclette. It was tasty, together with a nice white wine. For dessert we took the chocolate fondant and the tarte tatin. Both were good, but we recommend the fondant! Service was friendly, and prices fair. We also liked that we could have dinner a bit earlier than in other restaurants (i.e. around 18:30, while most of the others open for dinner at 19:00).
I was part of a mixed group of adults and children who ate here one busy evening. It was a disaster. We were the first diners to arrive in the (large) restaurant, and were also probably first table to order. But the wait for our food was extraordinary all the more odd because we had all ordered either fondue or the 'cook your own meat ' meals. i.e. less prep was needed than for tables ordering fully cooked meals. We faced lamentable excuse after excuse, and the evening simply went from bad to comical. Grumbles include: the 'hot rocks ' type set up for those having meat were barely warm (we would have been waiting all night to successfully cook on them they did replace them with hotter contraptions after we asked); our first choice of wine(s) being unavailable (unexplained); as well as numerous other potentially more serious missteps. But overall it was just the time taken for anything to happen, and the attitude(s) of various staff that was just... no. When we (finally) left and paid our bill, the bloke on the till (who seemed to be in charge) seemed most put out that we declined his valedictory offer of some kind of local liqueur that appeared to be his main, indeed only, concern. My advice to him would be to get the basics right.
