That's interesting! After we were here and loved it, we decided to book for four people on Christmas day, 12:30. We had an e-mail weeks ago that confirmed the booking. So we take the elevator just to discover, we can't reach the restaurant because the slope is closed to it because of snow shortage and the restaurant is closed! Why on earth were we not sent an email that the restaurant was closed to us?? Such a disappointment and really bad administration. My husband had to find out that it was closed by calling a sister facility x
This was a recommendation on our last day at Les Gets, we expanded it early and booked for lunch. As a beginner, it was a little challenging to go to the restaurant, but it was certainly worth it. It fills at noon very quickly and was packed when we came back for our lunch booking. Service was a little frosty at the beginning, but think that was because they were so busy. The BBQ food was so good and we had the perfect table to enjoy the view. Only a toilet for ladies so snakes inevitable. If you stop outside lunch, the hot chocolate is to die.
We were last here March 2020 so it was good to be back. We had booked ahead and had a short wait for a table during which time we got some beers from the bar. Yes, it can get a bit frantic when full and...we had to chase for our wine and some bread but it soon arrived. I'm vegetarian and the veggie chilli with rice is delicious. Husband had BBQ salmon steak and our friends a medium steak and the lasagne. All good and we hope to return later this season. (Lunch was enjoyed even more when my friend discovered she didn't have to go back up on her dreaded Turche button but can ski around the back and down to the Melez chair!
We phoned a week in advance to book a table for lunch here when we arrived we were told that despite our reservation, all they had was deckchairs on the snow. We evidently looked very unimpressed as they found us a table, but only...for 1hr15mins until the next people were due. This would have been ok if the service hadn’t been slow… meat was overcooked but tasty enough. We were then literally chased out of the restaurant with the maitre d suggesting i could take my coffee and drink it ‘on the snow’… when we left there were at least 20 people waiting to be seated, all of whom had also reserved. In short food nice enough if overcooked, but they had clearly just booked in far too many people for the number of tables they have. Made it all a pretty unpleasant experience!
