We had lunch in this restaurant on the occasion of an event organized by the Circolo dei readers of Turin, which planned to visit the synagogue of Ivrea, therefore a menu of the Jewish tradition (see photo). Upon arrival you will seem to have been catapulted back in time, as you will find yourself in a beautiful cottage, surrounded by greenery, with swirling geese to frame you and a beautiful bovaro of the Bernese. Roberta Anau (the hostess) welcomed us in a very informal and kind way, moreover it was very precious its explanation of all the courses of the Jewish tradition. The dishes that struck me most were: the salad of fennel, celery rapa, cabbage, apples, beets, pomegranate, flowers and smoked herring...really delicious; the Dajenu, really amazing soup (it would really be enough only for the origin of the name as well as for the ingredients it is composed); the popettines in fricassea and carotevolose What to say a great lunch in a bucolic place, accompanied by a hostess really kind and loving. The only thing I didn't like the interior furnishings of the rooms...but unfortunately I very much love the modern and minimalist environment, without too many soprammobili and paintings on the walls... for the rest we were really well.
If you want to spend a special day, try this farm in Lessolo. You will find yourself in a romantic place, surrounded by nature and some farm animals. For 35 euros you will eat plenty of dishes that combine a country kitchen with more refined elements, such as the use of plants and flowers. The hosts, very kind and very helpful then, will make you feel as invited by friends at a Sunday lunch. Absolutely recommended.
Bad welcome! Unkind and arrogant owner, not at all accommodating. Absolutely not suitable for children. I was looking for a place surrounded by greenery to celebrate communion. The green is there but does not repay everything. Insignificant food and little quantity. Salad with flowers consisted of a green salad with some daisies, two slices of Salame d'oca a testa when asked about the other was finished. Asparagus sformed was a frittata (matton) served with a cream perhaps tapinanbur that knew nothing. Baked pasta: not edible. Children did not eat anything and at the request of a tomato paste dish is followed a dry no they will eat chicken. What? In the dish of reach that little that there was dry! Neither the coffee you could drink dirty water ruined party.
I would give this to Roberta Anau, a great chef. I have known many operators in this area but Roberta surprised in creativity and execution. Roberta Anau is first and foremost an artist, she is a writer and poet, who loves nature and animals and her creativity that ranges in fun areas finds the culmination in Jewish cuisine, which is among the best in the world. A mèlange of flavours and cultures combined together, all to discover, Robera Anau is among the best chefs that proposes this type of cuisine. The farm is in harmony with nature and reflects the personality of the owner.
