Thyme Out - Letterkenny

Although we had initially planned on just getting coffee, we ended up trying a variety of delicious dishes that were beautifully presented. Our casual coffee outing turned into a delightful culinary experience as we enjoyed sausage rolls, lemon meringue roulade, and received excellent service from the warm and attentive staff. We highly recommend this restaurant - our experience was truly exceptional.

I went to Thyme Out for the first time today and had a fantastic experience with both the food and the service. It's a cozy café with a straightforward menu, but we were delighted by the top-notch quality and affordable prices. I would like to thank the welcoming, attentive, and courteous staff who went out of their way to be especially kind to my kids. I can't wait to return in the future!

If you're visiting Glenveagh National Park, make sure to check out Thyme Out cafe at Alcorn's Garden Centre. This location is just as great as the original branch. It's a convenient spot to catch up with friends without having to go into town, and there's ample free parking. The cafe serves a range of delicious and healthy lunch options, salads, and indulgent cakes and desserts. The staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the overall experience. Lunchtime can get busy, so it's advisable to visit during quieter periods if possible.

I hate to be negative, but unfortunately I have no other option. We stopped by the coffee shop after spending some time at Tropical World at Alcorns Garden Centre in Letterkenny. It was only 2:30pm and the desserts looked incredible. However, we were hungry after our visit next door, and that's where our issues began. The regular menu was quite basic, but the special grilled chicken salad with garlic potatoes sounded delicious. Both my wife and I decided to order this, but we were informed that it was sold out. I tried to choose something else, but nothing seemed appealing. The selection for kids was limited to just sausages and chips. The atmosphere felt stuffy with no air conditioning, so we decided it was best to leave. It's a shame, as the restaurant has great potential being located next to the garden centre and Tropical World. Unfortunately, it didn't work out for us. I may come back for coffee and cake, but not for lunch. Once bitten, twice shy.

I always love the food at this restaurant. The salads are incredibly fresh with a wide variety of options to choose from. My favorite dish is the goats cheese tart, which always gets a perfect 10/10 rating from me. The desserts are also tasty. The staff is usually friendly and accommodating - if the restaurant is busy and there are no tables available, you can always get a takeaway.
