Flaschen - Leukerbad

This is the best restaurant for lunch during a ski day !!! Beautiful view and delicious food. The steak grilled on stone is wonderful. Great tarte tatin and milles feuilles . Good location for access to all ski tracks . Perfect restaurant for family gathering, especially on a beautiful sunny day.

We went there for lunch on Christmas day after taking cable car from Torrent high station. We were surprised to see the great quality of food. The staff were friendly and helpful and we saw this place has earned its reputation for its food. We sat outside as it was sunny and not cold due to unusual weather and the view was really stunning. It also has indoor dining with large glass windows that provide a stunning view.

Our bosses took us twice to there favourite restaurant. It was a bit of a drive but so worth it. De service was excellent, so was the atmosphere and the food was nicely presented. Our selfs would not go there because we are on a very tight budget but the prices where very good for the amount and quality you get. Definitely go there if you are in the area. And as for the kids. There is a small petting zoo and a play area to keep them entertained.

The Flaschen Hotel-Restaurant is located between Albinen and Leukerbad at an altitude of some 14 metres and right next to the base station of the skilift up to the Torrentalp. From its large terrace and dining room, one has magnificent views of the surrounding alps and down into the Rhone valley. We stopped by on a sunny but windy day in June and decided to have lunch inside. The decor of the dining room is fairly modern if not a bit chilly, but the food and service were quite good. We settled for the 2-course menu of the day, consisting of broccoli soup, as starter and rumpsteak with stir-fried potatoes and vegetables as main dish, at a price of CHF 22.50. Combined with the impressive alpine views well worth a visit.

Enjoyed our meal here - worth the trip up from Leukerbad (come up on the last bus and the chef will take you back if you arrange it!). They also make their own ice cream, which is good.
