The sausage rolls are reminiscent of those from Gregg's Bakery in England, bringing back memories of home. It is truly the best bakery in Australia, offering fresh and flavorful treats. I only wish it were closer to home.
I absolutely adore this bakery! It is a charming, country-style bakery that offers classic treats like Neenish tarts, oversized jam donuts, and hedgehog slices. It brings back wonderful memories of my childhood. The main draw of this bakery is the unique experience, the welcoming atmosphere provided by the friendly shopkeeper, and the affordability of their delicious baked goods. These treats are not mass-produced in a factory; they have a homemade touch that adds character and flavor. Overall, I highly recommend this bakery for a delightful and tasty treat.
I have been a local in Leura for a year and I absolutely adore this bakery. The staff are friendly and I can't get enough of their almond croissants and custard tarts. The spinach quiche is also fantastic - moist, well-seasoned, and cheesy. My partner also enjoys the pasties and sausage rolls.
I often pop into the bakery as they have a good selection of cakes pastries , rolls and pies. I especaily like the custard snails.
This place relies on tourist customers that buy items on a once in their lifetime basis, because I guarantee you, customers will not return. Their food is really poor quality and tastes as though made with the cheapest ingredients. The place even cuts costs on wages as the Asian woman has her 8 (or so) year old daughter working at the register. I regretfully bought a spinach pastry which had black spinach with breadcrumbs as a filling and was extremely oily. Inedible that I threw most of it in the bin. I also bought a chocolate cookie which tasted like No Frills chocolate cake mix. Again, straight in the bin. Waste of money! Avoid at all costs!!!
