The Brockley Barge - Lewisham

The manager greeted us warmly, the food was excellent, and the friendly staff served us well. We enjoyed our breakfast there so much that we went twice that weekend. We love the Brockley Barge!

I had never visited a Weatherspoons before, but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was very affordable and came with complimentary drinks. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere, although the tables weren't perfectly clean. Overall, I would definitely consider dining at this chain again in the future.

During my 6-month trip to the UK, I had the pleasure of visiting over 80 Wetherspoons locations, starting in Poole and continuing through Wales, Scotland, and back to England. These chain restaurants are perfect for travelers in campervans, as they offer various services like electricity and free wifi without requiring registration or an email. While some Wetherspoons lacked in cleanliness and courtesy, the one in Brockley stood out as one of the best managed. The staff was friendly, attentive, and detail-oriented, creating an atmosphere similar to that of a family-run pub. I was impressed by their kindness towards all staff members, especially those who may struggle with the physical demands of the job. Overall, I highly recommend this particular Wetherspoons for its exceptional hospitality and ambiance.

Had a great evening with friends. Ordered food which came quickly and was hot and tasty. Served byAden who seemed to be run off his feet up and down, changing barrels. But he was patient and friendly and took it all in his stride. Will revisit soon as really enjoyed the evening.

The young girl behind the counter lacks respect, customer service and always have an attitude. Her boyfriend also works behind the bar and always have to calm her down. Her mother also attends the pub and regularly shouting at guest, to protect her daughter’s shortcomings. There’s a conflict of interest and the manager lacks authority to manage that situation.
