El Fenix - Lewisville

During a business trip, we decided to stop by this restaurant based on a recommendation from my coworker. The food was incredibly delicious, but the service was quite slow. It seemed like there was only one person managing both seating and serving the guests.

The service was great everyone was friendly and efficient. They were out of both types of margaritas we ordered (peach mango) so we had to do strawberry regular. The drinks were decent strength and flavorful. The chicken chimichanga was just ok. I didn't like the cheese that was on it. I asked for white queso but got something else with a funky spice flavor to it. I can't say that I liked this place enough to come back it was just average.

So reading the reviews I was a little concerned, but went in anyway You have to keep in mind that the opinions expressed here are just that. Opinions. Your taste may differ from my and other posters. My opinion here is... 1. I would return again 2. I had the two taco plate. I didn't care for the plate, but don't let that stop you. I am on a low salt diet. A little too much for my taste. 3. Next time I will order chicken. 4. Service was great friendly. Fast.

The food is good quality. The service is great. Never had an empty cup. The waiters are friendly. The atmosphere is excellent. Not a whole lot of people do it is nice and quiet. Wish they were all like this one. We definitely will come back.

Met friends here who said it's awesome! They weren't wrong. Hubby thought the sour cream enchiladas were really good, and I really liked the beef tamales with rice and beans. Seriously good! Staff is efficient and friendly. The prices are better than I expected. The decor is very nice with great atmosphere. I certainly enjoyed the salsa, too
