For the chef's sake, I'll include my favorite recipe type. It's one that includes mentsuyu, dashi, mirin, etc and is served warm and poured over the tofu. Also, the tofu should be coated in potato starch ONLY, after being pressed dry. It should have a very light and crisp exterior. Mine was rather hard (as if what flour was in the coating) and was served with a ponzu type sauce that was totally not the best option. It just doesn't compliment the fried tofu or add anything to the dish. Nothing good, anyway. I hope you update your recipe. The portion was HUGE. I don't know if that's to make up for the lack of good flavor, or what. If you keep the portion size and make it really delicious... and promote it... you'll be very busy! Please take this as it is. It's constructive criticism, because I LOVE your restaurant and WANT YOU TO SUCCEED!! Sincerely, A Loyal Patron
Great service and friendly staff. Our drinks are always full and the sushi is fresh and delicious.
Return visit for us High quality texture and flavor, particularly the mackerel, fatty tuna, salmon, eel, and snapper nigiri. The Louisiana roll with cooked crayfish is delicate yet mildly spicy. Fried dumplings have a nice thin wrapper and were delicious.
Amazing little find in the heart of Lexington. Service is extremely friendly and hospitable. Really enjoyed what tasted like authentic Japanese sushi and other dishes.
Amazing. One of the top sushi places I've been to, and I've been to some very good places. The quality of their fish is always superb and preparation/presentation also spot on. The Nuta with a sweet miso-vinegar sauce was fantastic and the eel and uni were the best I think I've ever experienced. They have good drinks and lunch specials as well. I'm so happy Lexington has this. We stop in every trip. Still five stars, hands down.
