I am an insidious kitchen staff and lazy in front of the house whose main purpose is to get dunes in and out. I think of suspicious look (and smell! items that are bought in bulk at rock-ground sales rate and oblivious patrons join him for a fixed $12.99 a pop. as a long-term consumer and friend of sumo hibachi sushi, I am pleased to inform them that it is not the case here! from the moment when they enter the holy ground of sumo, they are met with the most friendly staff in lexington. the restaurant is clean, organized and decorated. lights are dimmed, music is low, and food energy is abundant. if they decide to sit on the bar, they will get the sushi kitchen cut into slices, prepare and artistically construct any order right in front of them. his real sight! the menu is cured for chopstick legends and sushi beginners alike. my usual consists of a snowy roller and two rounds of salmon sashimi with the best miso soup in kentucky, and if I feel special, some lo my for the road or lunch the next day. the Japanese cuisine is full of passion and tradition; I am pleased to observe a restaurant, such as sumo, which maintains this great tradition and such passion and effort in its craft. I recommend sumo hibachi sushi the college student looking for a tasty snack between the classes that are newly united (and a little embarrassing! couple who are constantly surfing through pinterest, looking for ideas of date night, and the food-loving family who seeks a cheerful, comforting ambient, fast and attentive staff this place is for everyone, and more importantly, this place is for them.

Haha ?
I wasn’t very impressed with our first visit here. The restaurant looked nice inside, and the name is great. But, the food was disappointing. The sushi was fine. But I got chicken fried rice. It was made with basmati, no veggies and was very bland and dry. My wife got veggie udon and tempura. The tempura was ok, but was not made with panko. The udon needed flavoring. And things were more expensive than expected. Too bad.
Great sushi! All you can eat option. Friendly, attentive service.
I feel that all I have to say is All you can eat (anything on their menu) for mid 20 dollars . It 's such a good deal because they even let you get sashimi (most places only do nigiri and they require that you eat the rice). They do have a limit of 15 pieces but, still! It 's awesome. They even let me order the steak hibachi without rice. We were a party of 10. They were able to book us immediately. The service was decent for as many people as we had without early notice. We 're talking Sushi in Lexington we 're not going to have the freshest and best quality fish. With that understanding, I didn 't feel Sumo 's quality was bad. Definitely better than buffet quality. I can 't wait to return for AYCE again.
