Wimpy's Place - Lexington

Unique layout and experience! The owner is hilarious, with clever jokes and playfully rude sarcasm—better than Ed Debevic's in Chicago! Breakfast was spot on! Make sure to bring cash and a sense of humor!

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The staff was incredibly rude, and my food was undercooked. I waited an hour for a simple cheeseburger and fries, which arrived cold. The server had an unfriendly demeanor, making the experience even worse. Additionally, it took an astonishing 30 minutes to get a Coke and water. What is happening with restaurants these days? If I could give zero stars, I would.

Went for breakfast and had a great visit. Waiter was friendly and entertaining. Place is nothing to look at but the food was good and came quickly. Give the place a try!

Not what it used to be. Small town kitschy restaurant that I loved is now run (perhaps owned? by a very rude man. If you want to be rushed, talked down to and made to feel like your business is a favor they are doing for you… then I guess give it a try. We left and had a great breakfast at Huron street cafe instead.

I have been a loyal customer, bringing friends and family here for years, but I am sad to say that the experience has deteriorated. The man at the front, who I assume is the owner, always has something sarcastic to say and consistently comes across as rude. Every visit, he makes remarks that leave my guests asking, Is that the owner? The food quality has also declined over the years, though the staff remains wonderful. This place used to be my favorite hangout growing up, and I hope you can have the same experience I had when I was a kid and used to come here. Unfortunately, it has lost the small-town charm it used to have.
