Smokey V's Bbq - Liberty

Great food. Very cheap for the amount of food you get. Staff is great!!

We ordered two pulled pork plates, each served with green beans and French fries, along with smoked chicken, Brunswick stew, and peach cobbler. To our surprise, the owners generously treated us to the chicken (for our dog) and the peach cobbler—such a thoughtful gesture! We would have gladly paid for both, as they were fantastic. I took a quick bite of the chicken before giving it to our dog, and it was incredibly tender and smoky, with nice chunks of white meat. The warm peach cobbler was even better than what I make at home! As for the pulled pork, I found it very good. I opted for the mustard BBQ sauce, while my husband tried the hot BBQ sauce. They provided just the right amount to enhance the meat's flavor without overwhelming it. (You sauce your meat here!) Now, let's talk about the green beans—they're often a standard side at BBQ joints and usually not anything special. However, once our server brought out our food, I sampled a fry and a bite of green beans to see if they needed salt, and I was blown away. I couldn't resist devouring those green beans; they were absolutely delicious! I was tempted to drink the flavorful juices at the bottom of the cup. When the owner/chef came out, I told him they might be the best I've ever had, and he mentioned he hears that quite a bit—I believe him! The fries were also very good—crispy, just how I like them! My husband went inside to grab dessert, which includes a selection of Blue Bell ice cream, milkshakes, brownies, and more cobbler. As he was ordering, the owner came outside with some peach cobbler for us! How generous! We had our dog with us, and they allowed us to enjoy our meal outside with her. It was such a pleasant evening, and their outdoor space is lovely. We had passed by this restaurant dozens of times, and a few weeks ago, I had urged my husband to stop in with a friend on their way to Brevard. They had dinner there and thoroughly enjoyed it, so I knew I had to try it for myself the next time I was in the area. It was a fantastic decision! They also do catering, and with fried okra season approaching, I highly recommend giving Smokey V's a try if you're in the area!

This is a fantastic spot for a quick bite when you’re in a hurry. The customer service is fast, the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is charming. I would definitely recommend it to others!

The food was fantastic—hot and plentiful! The pulled pork sandwich and Brunswick stew were both excellent. I experienced nothing but genuine Southern hospitality!
