Del Castello Di Pontebosio

The way they have done up this Castello is rather pretentious (awful colors and over the top). The new waiter was a bit too chatty to our taste but the food was good though rather expensive for this area.

We were steered away from the food we wanted and persuaded to have what they clearly wanted to serve us. Service was very, very slow, the pasta just OK and my main course was quite poor. There were 8 of us and not one of us felt we had a great meal. We ate in far better places whilst we were in this part of the world and at a fraction of the price.

Enchanted place. You are welcomed by a beautiful welcoming atmosphere. They served us an aperitif with cakes, croutons, focaccias, pizza, cured meats, and much more. We will definitely be back
