Dr Johnson Public House - Lichfield

I was visiting Lichfield with my son and was looking for a pub convenient to where we were heading where we could gran some lunch. As visitors we were made to feel incredbly welcome by the very friendly staff. The food was excellent quality, superb value for money and the service was fantastic. Our lunches were on the table very quickly, and my son and I enjoyed what we were served very much. My steak came to the table sizzling and was just superb. The freshly cooked chips were the best I have tasted in a very long time. If I am ever visiting Lichfield again I would certainly visit again. Highly recommended.

We went out for a early Christmas get together at The Dr Johnson’s Pub. What a surprise we had to have a fantastic meal together. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our meals were great and very good value for money. We would thoroughly recommend this for a nice get together. What a great meal and a good time we all had there.

John the team laid on a lovely buffet with free tea and coffee for 40 guests. Food was freshly prepared and very tasty. We used the family room but due to numbers spilled into the lounge area. Bar service was great and clean down was very sensitively handled. Thanks to everyone who made the celebration of my Dad's life so memorable.

My husband and I have lunch or tea here at least twice a month we also bring our grandchildren..always a warm welcome from Sue John abbie and staff.lovely food at very reasonable prices and excellent quality..may have to wait but all freshly cooked.

Im a traveller from France and didn't expect food to be this good in UK. This pub made me the best meal I've tasted in UK. But the best thing there is the staff because the waiters were amazingly nice : I really didn't know any dish because they're all specific to UK and the waitress helped me a lot by explaining me nicely every single dish. The best adress in UK, recommended for everyone.
