The Whittington Arms - Lichfield

We typically have a great time at this restaurant, but last Sunday (March 8th) seemed to be an off day for the chef. Our food was either cold or overcooked, and the table next to us was so disappointed they mentioned they wished they had gone to McDonald's instead. We returned our gloomy dish (a crumbled item that was cold) as it was served stone cold, and I also sent back a flat drink. Come on, what happened?

I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. Even though it was New Year's Eve, it wasn't too loud, allowing for a comfortable conversation.

The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. I highly recommend dining here; the atmosphere is delightful and the menu offers a great variety.

The ambiente very good service was extremely satisfactory, but the proportion of the foods relevant to the cost was very low.

....from start to finish it was a very good experience ....staff were polite and not intrusive, overall I can’t specify any fault. Will certainly visit again.
