We had to explain to the staff what vegan food is, which was a bit stressful as they seemed impatient. The nan bread was not vegan, but they did have a vegan version available. While I would say the price wasn't great, the food was still acceptable.
The staff was helpful in identifying vegan options on the menu. About half of the vegetarian dishes were also vegan. There was an option to choose five dishes with rice (see photo).
The food at Maharajare is typical of an Indian restaurant. The menu includes a dedicated page for vegetarian options, most of which are also vegan. The menu is a bit confusing, but not a problem if you speak French (unsure about staff's proficiency in English). One major downside is the excessive use of salt in almost every dish, noted by both vegetarians and carnivores. It's puzzling why they use so much salt when the flavors from the herbs alone would suffice. Overall, Maharajare could be a good choice for dining with meat-loving friends if they improve on this issue.
This is a beautiful Indian restaurant in a quiet alley in the centre of Liège. My French is not so good, so I had a look at the menu online before I went there and translates the components of meals. However, this would not have been necessary because the staff spoke very well English. The food was good, I had better Indian meals, but definitely worse too! Since there are not many vegan options in deck, I recommend going here if you stay a little longer in town and feel like a change.
There were vegan options, but not marked and we had to first explain to the personal what vegan eating is so that was stressful as it seemed to be impatient. the nan brot was not vegan, but they had another version of it that was vegan. for the price I would say it wasn't so good, but still in order.
