Kiwa Korean Bibimbap

Stopped by for a late night supper, amazing food, great fresh tasting ingredients, tried their kimchi fries which is delicious ?, chicken wings and beef bimbimbap. So worth the extra dollar to get it sizzling hot in the stone bowl. Great service for a Saturday night. Would so recommend coming here ? great food and nice amount of choices.

For someone who love korean food and is able to taste from low to high end restaurant, this restaurant definitely does not deserve more than 4.5 star.The food itself was alright. I was able to taste the kimchi, kimchi pajeon, fried chicken with brown rice and dolsot bibimbap with rice rice. In which, the brown rice did surprised me. It wasn't dry at all but the white rice from the dolsot bibimbap was a disappointment. You had more vegetable with little bit of rice. When I removed all the vegetable of the dish, I could barely see any rice at the bottom of the dolsot. Furthermore, the sauce was not spicy at all. It was more towards sweet.The biggest red flag of the whole visit is that no side dish were included. You have to pay 4.5$ for a bit of kimchi. Most korean restaurants provide a lot of side dishes on the side. Moreover, the kimchi was bland and you can't taste any crunchiness, spiciness or unami flavour. Hence,1 star will be removed from my rating.The staff are nice but the service was questionable. When I entered, there was noone greeting at the front and had to wait 10 min before I was seated. Then, I had to wait even more to order. I went there a saturday at 7:30pm and there not a single customer eating indoor and outdoor. Hence, I had to remove 0.5 star from my rating in case the kitchen was really busy.The price is definitely a letdown. Make sure you will expect to pay around 15-20$/dish. If you want to compare to other restaurants for the taste and the portion, you are at the wrong place. Hence, another 0.5 star had to be removed.If you really want an authentic korean restaurant, I will recommend you to go somewhere else. Hence, I will never go back and will not recommend my friends to go there. I was expecting more with all the review here.
