I'm sorry to say that this is one of the worst restaurants we've ever visited. Eating was terrible, we ate a few mouthful and no more. the service was slow to be fair, they were very busy, but also with what was considered. it was bad. such a scandal, as reviews are so good, but that was not our experience.
We happened by chance in this restaurant and thank the quality we did. the staff was lovely and nothing was too much annoyed and all made with a big smile. the food was excellent, local fayre and all very tasty. would recommend a visit.
We were having a leisure/business dinner and someone recommended us this restaurant in the old part of the town. This street is full of nice restaurants but many times booked, so it is better to book a table before you go. The interior of the...restaurant is simple and not very nice, but on the other hand the food and the sympathy of the waitresses compensate the decoration. I asked for the Entrecote but without the source because I was sharing it with my son, and the quality of the meat was very good. Even when I asked for white rice for the boy they bring it. I went there twice because I really enjoy the veal Entrecôte and the price was medium. About 20 eur for one person.
We wanted an authentic local restaurant for dinner and that is what this restaurant was. Nothing fancy, but good food. This was a popular restaurant on a Saturday evening, with very few non French. It was lively, friendly and atmospheric (probably much quieter on a...week day . Language was a bit of an issue: the senior waiter (or manager? did not speak English, though other staff did. We managed, though missed out on being told about the specials. Judging by what everybody else was having, its speciality is red meat and chips with everything washed down with beer. Actually we had chicken waterzoi (no chips with wine. It was lovely, as was the cheese tart we started with. And the ice creams and sorbets are home made and delicious. Fine dining it was not, but we had really enjoyed it.
