Feedback gevenStayed at this inn one night for girlfriend’s mini vacation. Very clean and conveniently located within walking distance from shopping, restaurants, wineries. Of course there are the nuances of an old building like creaky floors and gaps around doors but it’s all part of the charm. The beds were made with the softest sheets and blankets EVER. Sigh ?
We stayed here for an anniversary overnight in January. We had the Depot Room, upstairs, which we chose because of its two beds. Through the two windows you can look down on Washington St., the main thoroughfare; one window has a built-in bench as a windowseat. Watching the snow come down on top of what was already there added to this very enjoyable winter getaway. A small entryway at the back of the house offers a coffeemaker, a mini-fridge, a microwave and a toaster, plus delicious muffins and bread and snacks a nice adaptable alternative to the usual sit-down breakfast or invitation to raid the house kitchen at midnight. (There is no house kitchen, and there are no common areas to speak of just a hallway and the stairs. We didn't miss em The back garden looks very charming, although we didn't explore it in the snow.
Nice accommodations but not as nice as the Washington House Inn for the same price. Comfortable bed but quite a lot of street noise. Limited food items plus spotty TV reception. No on-site parking. Will try the Stagecoach Inn next ime.
The atmosphere at this restaurant is very cozy and welcoming. The owner has been here for almost 40 years and makes delicious homemade pizza. It's a great place to watch football games, catch up with friends, and it feels like a second home. They also have a jukebox where you can play your favorite songs and dance the night away at your own party.
The only downside was the noise from the street outside, as the property is located directly in the main town. However, we chose to stay there for the lively atmosphere it provided. Despite other guests staying in the other rooms, we hardly saw or heard them. Communication with the host was done through text messages, which suited us as we preferred to have minimal interaction with others during our stay. The room was small but beautifully decorated and cozy. We stayed in room 3, facing the street, but appreciated the curtains and blinds for privacy. The chairs with views of the fireplace and smart TV were a nice touch. We didn't use the whirlpool tub but found the room to be very clean upon arrival. The central location made it convenient for us to explore the town, dine out, and visit local attractions without having to worry about transportation. Bikes were available for rent in the backyard if we wanted to explore the local trail. Booking was easy, and the host had the key waiting for us in a lockbox. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a gift certificate for a nearby restaurant to celebrate our special occasion. Denise was quick to respond to our messages, which we appreciated. We would definitely consider visiting again.
