Canta Ranita - Lima

If you're in Barranco and fancy some decent food then definitely consider Canta Rana. The price was about average for a tourist hotspot but the portions were very generous, plus the food tasted really good. The cost was around s/50 for rice and shrimps, and a large beer was around s/16...like I said, not bad for a tourist place. Plus the staff were very friendly and there is security patrolling around so we felt very safe here.

This was a very colorful and interesting restaurant. The food was exceptionally delicious. The ceviche was fresh and tasty. The calamari was crispy to perfection. Causa De Cangrejo was the best potato dish I've ever had. Highly recommended!

I ate here the other day. The customer service was awful. The old lady in the cashier was very rude if you don't speak Spanish. The food servers were also busy with their phone or talking to each other. The food I order was rice with seafood and it was mostly squid and just 1 piece of shrimp not delicious. Taste bland but I was hungry since it was 3pm so i just ate some and left.

We had lunch at this place in a nice outdoor space. Barranco is a nice buzzing area of lima and the restaurant is located in a very central spot. The ceviche was very tasty. I regret not being more hungry so we could try out more dishes

I went with my family because of the good reviews it had online but was very disappointed. The food was bland with no consistency, salty, chewy and the portions were too big, I don’t have a memorable plate I can say was good. The rice tasted like the cheapest one you can find, it didn’t look fresh. The waiter was apathetic, not friendly and barely checked on us. The restroom was in bad shape with a door that could barely close. There was no music at all nor white noise, you could listen to other people convos. The food is way overpriced, I’m Peruvian and I’ve had better quality food at affordable prices, I would not recommend this place and I wouldn’t be back. Looking at old pictures and showing famous people have been there is overrated. La comida fue muy simple, un poco pasada se sal en general, no se veía fresco, las porciones fueron demasiado grandes, fuimos 4 personas y no tengo ningún plato memorable. La atención del mesero fue mínima, seca, fría y nada amigable. Los servicios higiénicos están en mal estado, no hay música ni ningún tipo de ruido blanco. El precio es muy caro, pues sobrepasa la comida, los servicios y el ambiente, no volvería a este restaurante a pesar de la historia que tiene, y no lo recomiendo.
