La Mot'Bistrot - Limoges

I've read some of the reviews for this restaurant and I am very surprised by some of them. Our experience here was totally positive. The food was good (large portions!), and the staff friendly and welcoming. The owner came and said 'shalom,' which I appreciated. We sat outside in the sun, had our lunch, drank wine, (under a shade), and people watched. Prices are reasonable. I have included some photos. It was good for us.

Wish I had read these reviews!Interestingly the owner was messing around with his card terminal and I appear to have been charged twice for the same meal, I am now in the process of getting the card issuer to charge back.It may have been coincidental but my wife was ill straight after eating.

Stopped for lunch for 6 and chose simple light lunch. Service was good and meals prompt. Would have liked tomatoes with the salad.

Good place for a drink stop and somewhere to use the toilet. Drinks were priced at much the same level as elsewhere and service was fine at a very busy time! Have not eaten here so cannot comment on that. Nothing bad to say.....have been here a fair few times over the years.

I live in France and had my two daughters over for a visit, they have had a lovely time , that is until we went to this so called Bistro.We gave our order to the waiter , trying our very best with our French and did quite well so we thought, the chef of the premises continued to sneeze ( pretending) all the while he prepared our food !!!! then found it funny as did his friends when he came out wiping his hands in his so called handkercheif !!! ....he and his friends kept looking at us and laughing whilst they continued to keep checking on us eating ...I have to say I did not eat mine the continual **** take went right through the meal and spoilt it for us all how sad !!!!! these people were no more than PIGS and ugly ones at that !!! I wanted to go nuts but it was my daughters last hour before their flight back home so I restrained myself !!!! .They obviously do not like the British people what so ever so Brits be warned not to go there ! The food was also rubbish !
