Applebee's - Lincoln

My wife and I made the decision to dine at Applebee's on Village Drive tonight. I have had mixed feelings about this restaurant for a long time, but we chose to give it a try.

Applebee's on Village Drive has a manager who appears to be intoxicated. This was not a pleasant experience! I had to wait for my food, did not receive all of my order, and witnessed the manager in the back yelling.

I visited the North Lincoln, NE location last week and was told the wait would be 15-20 minutes. It ended up being 35-40 minutes. The waitress was fine, but the cooks...

We requested to sit in a dimly lit area as we preferred a more relaxed ambiance. Unfortunately, that request was not accommodated and we were seated by the door where we could hear the staff's conversations and training exercises. Despite this, our waitress, Makeila, provided excellent service. About 10 minutes later, a man was seated opposite to us, which we did not request. Overall, the experience was satisfactory thanks to our attentive server.

We went to the restaurant around 11 o'clock on a Saturday to avoid the crowd. We were seated right away and informed of our server. They took our drink order promptly. Our server arrived soon after and ensured that our drinks were taken care of. They mentioned they were short-staffed and also doubling as the bartender. Despite being short-staffed, all the employees we interacted with were able to fulfill our orders, drinks, desserts, and were friendly. It was a very enjoyable experience on the weekend.
