It is a restaurant that has hibachi or teppanyaki cooking food on the table, there are 10 cook tops and about 8 tables on the other side of the partitions. We ordered hibachi and a California roll. A soup and salad are included. The soup is a beef broth and has some onions. The salad is a water ginger based sauce of iceberg lettuce. Charlie our chef was funny and had some skill. We ordered the chick and shrimp. The portions are huge and I guess everyone takes food home. So this is two for one deal. The chicken was in garlic and heaps of butter and oil. The veggies also had the same treatment of butter and oil and garlic sauce. Dessert was free for a birthday in our party. The fried ice cream was so good. A bottle of beer was only 4 dollars. Dinner for 4 was under a hundred USD. In this day and age that’s impressive with the portions. I just wish it was healthier.
Food tasted really good and our waiter was a cool guy. We ate the sushi side, where it was a laid-back experience. I appreciate that the vegetarian rolls are not as expensive as the house special rolls.
Their customer service needs a lot of work. This was my 2nd time. The waitress we had was very disrespectful. Didn't welcome us. Never checked in on us. Very rude tone. Took the menu straight out of my hand after I ordered and walked away not even saying a word. Food is great and all but I can see why most people dislike going in there. Hope it changes.
I came in with a friend tonight who loved his last experience so much, he decided this is where we were eating tonight. Kobe seems pretty popular and I can see why. As we walked in, we wanted to sit on the sushi side. Seating for us was available right away(the other side had hibachi grill options) . We got a nice both by the window. They have Wednesday Thursday specials, but we didn 't know that until after we ordered. It definitely looks like something we should 've looked into, but oh well. We ordered Jalapeno poppers and a cucumber salad as a starter and the dragon roll with the Oyster Explosion roll as our entrées.... and a scallop shooter just to try it out. The jalapeño poppers were so good, they were made with fresh jalapeños! I love the heat! The dragon roll arrived soon after with the cucumber salad. Then the Oyster Explosion. So much food in a short amount of time... Every flavor was AHMAZING! The Wasabi was ok... it could 've tickled my taste buds just a bit harder, but it worked. I absolutely enjoyed my experience here and if I were you, arrive about a little early if your coming for dinner. It definitely gets packed in here. Thanks for a great experience! I can 't wait to come back!
To go order: Ordered Bento box with teriyaki chicken and shrimp tempura, with a California roll and tempura shrimp roll. Very good portions and well cooked rice and seasoned generously. Sauce was nice, a bit different than I am used to but still very tasty. Same for the salad dressing, no complaints. They do have their own flavors, and they do it well! Will go back if if in the area most definitely ??
