I ordered a caramel latte and a vanilla latte and what I received was two black coffees with what tasted like a shot of rubbing alcohol in each of them. Both my husband and I agreed that the drinks were not just bad, they were undrinkable.
Staff is very friendly but food is terrible. So far the resort food options are a joke.
Seated immediately and then forgotten for 20 minutes. The person that greeted us took a drink order and then didn't come back. When he finally did, it was as if he didn't remember having been there before. Got our drinks about 8-10 minutes later (a beer and a coffee). Ordered an app and our meals and they showed up at the same time. Food was pretty good but very simple. Fish tacos were a little heavy on the lime. The burger was a little light on flavor. The desserts looked good but the server didn't offer us any before dropping off the check. I had high expectations as I've been driving past this beautiful resort and golf course for years. Decided to try it out and it just wasn't good. It was below average service and food.
The food is ok but not a lot of options. Our service was really slow and there was an overwhelming smell of what I thought was a cleaning solution.
We made a reservation based on a recommendation from a friend in San Diego. Then we read very mixed reviews and considered canceling this reservation, but read a couple of recent reviews that were favorable. Our waiter was Angus, super nice, helpful. Service was a bit slow but food was excellent. From the chowder, to the beet salad, to the salmon and scallops, everything was delicious. Dessert was very good also. We definitely recommend Salishan. We ate in the sunroom. It was a very nice experience, celebrating a birthday and we were very well treated.
