Great ice cream, girl behind counter was friendly and terrific at her job
Chip Dip! I have to say this place is really a jewel! The chocolate milk you almost drink with a spoon is really the best I ever had! The ice cream is also creamy and the selection of flavors is a treat in itself! I recommend the black cherry! I love the whole concept of this place is a MI company that owes family! Okay back to the chip dimmer.... what else I'll tell his French onion chip dip, fresh, homemade, family made and MI!! Stop and get a bag from Better Made Rainbow Chips and you have a party!! Enjoy! P.S. They still serve milk in the old school glasses and will even deliver weekly to your house!!
The states best milk and ice cream. A visit to the downriver area is not completed without stopping to the Calders Bros. Dairy. A family business since the beginning of 1946 with the best of milk, butter and ice products. They increase a special herd Holstein, Brown Swiss and Jersey cows to give you the highest butterfly and protein levels in all products produced here in Michigan. The farm and the farmhouse is located in Carleton, to enjoy farm tours and daily feeding for all. The classic ice cream is served all year round and the store is open 7 days a week 7 to 10 a.m. The chocolate milk and butter is the most creamy in Michigan and the seasonal Einog just came in where a must for your holidaymakers try to try. I know I've tried some of these other dairy farms and I really think Calders is a classic and the best Michigan has to offer, hey it's near I-75 and I-94 just a short jump on Southfield, you really don't have a good excuse not to try the best. See my pictures and enjoy how my family has for three generations.
Today on the Bisstonight: Calders Dairy. Since we had a little spring taste yesterday, Josh and I decided to get ice cream. Lucky for us, the Calders Dairy salon was open in Lincoln Park. Although they had limited aromas, we still enjoyed our visit. See how they arranged. Atmosphere: 4 out of 5 bites Price: 4 out of 5 bites Quality/button: 4 out of 5 bites Service: 3.5 out of 5 bites Wow Factor: 2 out of 5 bites Of course Josh had to be hot on his (you were from caramel). Cookie Dough: Classical and delicious with large pieces Keksteig! Maple: Sweet, rich and buttery. That reminded me of Butterpecan, but better! Now I tasted this pulsating taste when my friend Kristin scrubbed and fell in love about 7 years ago. Orange pineapple: A refreshing, fruity, creamy marriage with sweet pineapple and subtle orange. Delicious! Cookies Cream (on the bottom): Classic blend of smooth cookies
