Dining outside and having to wait for our number wasn't ideal, but it was definitely worth it! The lobster roll really highlighted the flavor of the lobster, with no overpowering extras. The clam chowder was fresh, although it wasn't the best I've ever had; still, I give them an A for effort. I would definitely come back. One thing to note: the outdoor seating was a bit iffy, but I’d like to know that in advance. Our total was $98 for the soup, lobster roll, and beer.

The fried clams and scallops are outstanding. My wife mentioned that the clams were the best she has ever had. The restaurant offers seating both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor area is located by the beach and provides a fantastic view of the bay.

Oh my goodness... the Lobster Roll at McLaughlin's Lobster Shack was absolutely delicious! When I ordered it, the roll cost $28.00 and came with a generous amount of lobster meat. If you choose the Lobster Roll Basket, it’s just an additional $5.00, and you get fries and coleslaw with it. I decided to get an order of onion rings to go with my lobster roll, and they were fantastic! For only $5.50, the portion was large enough to share. My husband ordered the steamers served with hot drawn butter for $29.00. He said they were fresh, flavorful, and worth every penny. We always make a stop at McLaughlin's when we're in Maine because it's our favorite spot for steamers and lobster.

We've been eating seafood all over New England and this is the BEST! I had the charbroiled scallop basket with grilled vegetables. What a relief after only seeing fried stuff everywhere. The scallops were delectable!

Best lobster roll ever! This little Shack is very casual with outdoor seating. My favorite, was checking out the live lobster tanks and selecting the lobsters to be cooked. So much fun!
